Do I Really Need a Designer?
Anybody who owns a business understands that advertising, marketing and promotion of your business is crucial to your success. Unfortunately for many business for various reasons, time, money, etc, it is the first of the 5 functional areas of business to be either disregarded or mishandled.
For example, you could try to build your website yourself, but how many hours will it take you to do, and how will it look after? If you would have taken those 40 hours you spend on your website, and put them into what you do best, how much money could you have made? Would it have made more sense to hire a professional designer to spend only 20 hours to complete the website and in the end have an attractive and functional website that will be accessible to all and be optimized for search engines?
A good designer will make a website (or other project) that will increase your full market potential by making you stand out from your competition, convincing your customers that you are the business they should be dealing with. Good design gives you credibility and builds rapport with your customers before they even talk to you.
One of the most overlooked aspects of business is proper marketing. Advertising is good, but what you really need is a plan to make sure that your advertising dollars are spent as effectively as possible.
